Hey @Pam_Pollard! Totally understandable. Safari has always been an issue unfortunately. The tricky part is that our site depends on several tech things that Safari doesn’t fully support yet, or supports in a way that isn’t stable enough to run reliably. It’s more that Safari’s current tech stack doesn’t allow the sandbox to function the way it needs to yet.
That said, Safari compatibility is something we want to improve, and we’re keeping a close eye on it’s progress so we can expand support as soon as it becomes practical and stable. Safari has been a lagger in the development space for a while and hasn’t reached a place like Chromium yet to work with more features. It’s a pretty common thing in the web development community that Safari is a bit behind unfortunately.
In regards to the UI, you can access our old system at v1.scrimba.com while it’s still up. I think it’s because we have backend support now which in turn has more components. We do agree though we need to clean up the UI/UX as I do think we need a revamp. Just note the old UI doesn’t have the backend support, so that might make it more simpler. Again, heaps to improve with this current UI though and we do have a task for that!
