I haven’t progressed a lot in the Fullstack Path yet, and I’m already running into bugs all the time.
One of the most frustrating ones is that sometimes a course doesn’t get marked as completed even though I’ve watched every second of it and finished all the challenges. The only workaround I’ve found is going back and watching the last 10 seconds again then it magically gets marked as done.
Another issue is when I enable captions, they often don’t show up in the current course. They only appear after I switch to another course.
Another one is a sudden “server gone” error while I’m watching the course then nothing works until I refresh. I think you need to focus more on testing the app and fixing bugs.
I’m using the latest version of Microsoft Edge, and I’ve tried multiple hard refreshes and deleting the cache, but none of these issues went away.
I really think the team should focus more on testing the app thoroughly and fixing these bugs, because they make the learning experience way more frustrating than it should be.
Hey @TripleA160, sorry about this. We’ve been doing some pretty big updates on the backend for our upcoming big release of a certain feature. Due to that some issue have leaked into our current platform but we are patching as we go.
These things you noted is on our radar so the development team is aware of this and trying to sort it out. We’re currently investigating into the “server gone” issue so that should be stabilised soon.
That upcoming feature sounds exciting, and I really appreciate the effort you and the team are putting into improving the platform.
I get that big updates can cause temporary issues, but these ones have been happening pretty often, and they are only a few examples; there are more small issues that pop up from time to time, so I really hope things get more stable soon, and that fixing bugs gets as much attention as adding new features
Totally understandable. There’s some persisting bugs that just keep popping up. Very frustrating on both sides since we’re using the platform too for course creation and general learning so we run into it as well. I think there is light at the end of the development tunnel it seems since a lot of time was priorities into this upcoming service but it’s close to done. The todos are large so I’m eager to get the team to check them off when they have got capacity.
