Hi, I’m taking The Frontend Developer Career Path and I’m trying to start the hometown homepage project in a new scrimba, but the mini browser isn’t working, can someone help me please?
Hey @Tatiana_Mathon, just saw your Discord message but can continue debugging it with you here since it’s less busy.
I saw that you had this scrim here bitter-rice where you’re trying to do this project here Solo Project: Hometown Homepage.
It’s noted that you used the +new scrim
button, could you clarify which template you used, or did you just copy and pasted the code into it?
Hi Roku, thanks for responding! I didn’t use any template, I just copied and pasted the code from that lesson.
@Tatiana_Mathon Could you please try it out with a pre-made template and just pick one that’s closest to what you need? Sounds like there might be an issue with starting from scratch and our editor not configuring itself correctly.
Hi Roku, I tried selecting a template and it worked. Thank you so much!
Great! Going to make an internal ticket for our devs to see why picking no template causes this issue.. I think starting on a blank scrim without templates missed some critical backend configurations for it to work properly.
I have the same issue. Has there been any progress? I’m still getting the error.
console said that
[Error] Refused to display ‘https://scrimba.com/__sw__.html?cw2’ in a frame because of Cross-Origin-Embedder-Policy.
[Error] Refused to display ‘https://cw2.scrimba.com/__sw__.html?cw2’ in a frame because of Cross-Origin-Embedder-Policy.
The rendering page that used to be visible for all my courses is no longer accessible from anywhere. I can’t study now
My another PC (window desktop) with chrome is work well. (why..?)
but my Mac safari stil not work. I want to study with Mac env
I would appreciate it if you could provide a solution to reset or initialize this situation.
Hey @asackan, unfortunately think the blank screen is an issue with Safari’s incompatibility. It’s most stable on a chromium-based browser like Brave, Edge etc. The Firefox engine seems to work too but Safari is it’s own engine that our website has a hard time working with.
Chrome can be bloated so I don’t use that but you can use another alternative chromium browser instead which should resolve this error.
OK Thank you for your answer. I’ll try using Chrome or the other browser
