i entered scrimba using the github free subscription and the claim a free month option is’nt popping up to me and my friend. Is it a bug or did i do something wrong?
Hey @AhmadAlmoslih sorry about that. We did some updates to this feature so it was down for a bit. You should see an “upgrade” button on the lower left now which adds the 1-month free on whichever plan you want to subscribe on. So it’s basically like a free trial now as the other method we used to have was a bit buggy.

It should be available now. If you proceed to upgrade to pro, does your checkout say something like “Github Education 30 day free”?

Yep that’s how it works so it’s basically acts like a 30-day free trial to one of our plans. You can use a debit/credit card to sign up to access the free month. You can cancel it straight away to prevent renewal if you just want the 30-day free period.
So what is the point of having it as a Student Developer Partner , if students without a card cannot even access it , it just became a demo session for the product instead of being a genuine learning opportunity for students of all backgrounds all over the world which is the whole purpose of Github Student Developer Pack.

Other products in the bundle work the same as our process and cards are also needed for them too to access their premium features. We have a fundamental free courses which is dedicated for people who are not able to join pro with us or have access to cards.
